    I have two questions:

    1. Disc Format

I am a PC user and I wanted to archive and share some video clips that can be opened by Mac computers as well as PCs. If I burn a Data DVD on my PC (I use Nero 9), will that work in a Mac computer too?

    2. File Format

Can Mac machines play .MPG files? Or would it be better to convert them to .MOV files? I know PC user can view .MOV files with the right viewing program, but I did not know what viewing programs were available on the Mac and what file formats they could view.

In summary, the idea I have is to share the video clips as data files so they can be viewed, edited, etc. regardless on what platform the user is on.

    1. Yes.
    2. Yes. MPEG1 mpg files should play without any problems. MPEG2 mpg files requires a mpeg2 decoder(for the quicktime player) or they can use the free VLC Media Player.
