faac: frame decoding failed: Gain control not yet implemented

i got this error in the logs when trying to encode a mov file (h264 video, aac audio) to flv (ffmpeg flash video, mp3 audio).
i also tried converting using quicktime (see options in the Options tab), with no success.
it happens with some files only of the batch i'm encoding.

Apparently your MOV file uses some special features in the AAC audio that the ffmpeg version in ffmpegX does not understand (yet) or finds 'illegal'. No setting in ffmpegX can change that.

You may have to prep your file by converting (with a different tool) first to a file with simpler/more compatible audio. The trick is to find such a converter tool that can handle this specific audio. Perhaps QuickTime Pro can?

The 'Decode with QuickTime' option is only for the video. ffmpeg is still used for audio decoding. The 'Decode with QuickTime' option won't make a difference if the encoder fails because of an audio decoding error.
