how to play "eps" extension files ??

Have you disabled hide extension in windows? So you see the real extension? Or open the file in mediainfo to check.

48 MB would be very big for an EPS graphic. Possible if it contans a high definition bitmap.

If you have Adobe Acrobat (the full version, not just the viewer) you can use it convert EPS to PDF.
If it is Encapsulated PostScript, you can see the header of the file some ASCII like
Use a text editor, eg Notepad.

Drawing graphics programs like Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw, can also read and show these.

If you're asking, go to 'Control Panel>Folder Options>View' and scroll down the list. Uncheck 'Hide extensions for known filetypes'.

Then you should be able to see and change an extension. MS has the 'feature' turned on by default.

IF it is truly an encapsulated postscript file that DOES end in .eps, you can convert it to a PDF with the free PDFill software:

www.pdfill.com

The program will install the free PDFill Tools (which has all sorts of PDF/EPS utilities), the free PDF Writer, and the Trialware/Payware PDFill Editor.

It will then offer to automatically download and install GhostScript, which is needed for PDFill.

Irfanview can view EPS files as well, with a plugin (and Ghostscript as well). I've used it a couple of times for this (it's my image viewer of choice).

Does Irfanview really view the EPS graphic, or just the preview; as not all EPS files have a preview.
Ghostscript (and a GUI, GSview), certainly can.

Anyway, as I said above, look in the header to see if it actually is EPS first.

I don't know enough to be able to answer that. I just know that the couple of EPS files I have, I can view them in Irfanview.

I guess YMMV.....
