...Dialogue normalization, Bit stream information, Audio production information, Preprocessing settings (such as what Compression characteristic was used, if any), etc.?
Things like the audio bit rate and channel count are trivial to determine, but is it possible to find out the more advanced settings that were used when encoding, such as outlined above?
    Thanks,
    Justin

I think only the companies that produce the dvds have that information. There may be generic "if this then they used this" kind of approaches. I don't think there is any meta data that can be extracted from commercially produced dvds to find that information out.

There may be general information available on wiki or imdb for movie specific creation paramaters. Though you may not get as specific information as you may want.

Though I could be wrong but I doubt that is available for any given dvd.
Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I had a feeling there's really no way to find out. It'd be interesting if someone could write an app to figure it out though. However, that'd probably require an enormous amount of various math skills and intense and complex coding skills.
