  1. I've been attempting at an epic movie project, but I've been getting snagged at a few points. Here's my issues...

    Here's what I'm currently using:

    Adobe Premiere Pro CS3
    Wondershare DVD Ripper

Now, I had ripped my source video (which was from DVD) and was originally clipping it with MPEG Streamclip, but I noticed that the cuts weren't as precise as I'd like. I started using Premiere Pro and I love it...but I noticed that the video I had ripped did not include the subtitles with it. The reason why this is an issue is because the audio is in Japanese.

Now, Wondershare gave me the option to rip the subtitles with the video. Did that, tested it out in MPC, and it came out great...no lag of audio, no lag of subtitles. Everything seemed perfect...

...that was, until I tried to load the clips into Premiere Pro. Premiere Pro only lets me use the clips for their audio properties and not their video properties.

My question in the end is what format should I be encoding this video into in order to get both Audio and Video tracks from it? I've encoded these DVDs in several different formats, and the one that worked the best in MPC was mp4. Everything else made the audio go out-of-sync or didn't grab the subs.

Also, another problem is that I'm really strapped for GBs. I've been trying to clear up some room lately, but it feels like it's never enough.

  4. I actually found a way to do this on my own. I'm now using a new source material. This thread can be deleted/closed.
