  1. Hi. I transfer VHS home movies to DVD using a DVD recorder in order to get the media to my computer. The DVD plays fine on Nero Showtime, etc. but when I import the DVD media to Sony Vegas pro 8.0 to edit, about 5 minutes into the video i get 5 to 6 seconds of messed-up, blocky frames. Is there any way to make this stop happening? Please advise and thank you in advance.

i take it you are importing the vobs? you might try converting the vobs to mpeg-2 with vob2mpg before importing.

  3. Thanks. VOB2MPG worked ok but the video fell out of sync with the audio for me. It's the video because I doublechecked the stability of the audio using Xilisoft DVD Audio Ripper.
