This is my first post so bear with me,
I have a Gateway HD2201 LCD Monitor and I was trying to record some of my Xbox360 gameplay with my capture card (Slingbox Solo, AtLargeRecorder HD).
The problem is that the Gateway has only 3 inputs (HDMI, VGA, DMI) and none of them are compatible with my capture cards Component (Pb Pr Y) output.
However I have been reading a little and found that depending on the monitor you are using, you might be able to use a simple Component to VGA adapter cable to connect the two. I heard it was called "sync on green" or something ? With this feature you can use an adapter cable and the monitor will convert the signal for you.
The problem is that I am not sure if my Gateway HD2201 monitor is capable of converting the component signal to vga like others are able to. I dont want to buy a $40 cable and wait a week for it to come in just for it to fail when I could do some research and maybe find an easier solution.
I have looked for manuals everywhere but all I find is a manual for another model that actually has component inputs!
They both seem to be HD2201 but mine does not have component inputs only the three mentioned. I appreciate any help.
Thanks,
George
