When attempting to record I get this message : Could not open wave/audio device.

I've installed Lame_enc.dll in the mp3directcut folder. Any ideas on how to get this thing to work ?

    mp3DirectCut is an mp3 editor.
What is it that you're trying to do?

I'm trying to edit an mp3

One loooong single mp3 track. Want to make several tracks. Having it detect the pauses, which I have done successfully to my approval. Separating songs so I can skip forward, without skipping through the whole thing. mp3DirectCut detected 63 pauses. I would like to separate each song, or group of songs at the pauses with a track. Then burn the the tracks to a CD, or an mp3 device. Will mp3DirectCut allow me to do this ?

    Yes, this is easy enough.

I don't think that mp3DirectCut will do all of this stuff though.

    Well,
    File > Open
    to load the mp3 file.

    Then use
    'Set Begin' and 'Set End'
    to choose the section.

    Then
    File > Save all audio
    to save it.

Then repeat for the other sections, one at a time.

Ouch. I guess that is better than doing with out. I was looking for something to do it with little effort on my part. But, that'll work too. I feel kinda stupid now.

Click the "?" on the top menu to see the manual, under "Pause detection".

Actually, I ended up using Audacity. It took a while, but very pleased with the result.
