  1. My other thread kind of died but I still need some help. I am unsure about this whole hdcp thing.... Do I want my monitor and stuff to have hdcp or not? Let me list my equipment and hopefully one of you can tell me if my setup is not working because of hdcp or something else. I have a viewsonic vx2260wm monitor, a dell inspirion with more then enough power to use intensity pro, and an xbox 360 with a build date of January 7, 2009. I am connecting using hdmi. I follow this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DcSic-wgS3Y and my computer works on the monitor, but when I switch to hdmi for xbox I only get audio.

Search the archives. Some say HDCP is required at monitor for HDMI from Xbox360, others don't. Analog component loop to TV eliminates the issue.

XBox360 analog component output to Intensity Pro. Then analog component from Intensity Pro to HDTV.

  9. Ok I got that... but thats audio. I have that but no video. Does my monitor resolution for my computer need to be the same as my xbox like 720p on xbox and 1280x720 on pc? Also, on hdmi what color space should I choose for the xbox?

I don't have an XBox360 with HDMI out to test. In your shoes I'd hook HDMI directly to an HDTV (not a computer monitor) and see if the XBox is outputting a picture. An HDTV by definition supports HDMI/HDCP. The BM Intensity Pro by spec rejects HDCP. The BM Intensity HDMI port is intended for camcorders which don't use HDCP.

  12. Ok I think I am going to use a component to hdmi converter which I was told would work but I have a few questions. Would there be a noticeable delay when playing first person shooters? Also, how exactly would I hook up the intensity with this http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0016SN49Y?tag=cheapipads3g-20

I'd expect problems. Verify users reports.

You should just buy a cheap HDTV for XBox Gaming. There are many under $200 HDTV sets that can also be used as a second computer monitor or as a TV. You would then use analog component to BMI and analog component to the HDTV. You can also run DVI-D or VGA to the HDTV for use as a second monitor.

    For example
