This is just for DVD to DVD copying. No compression. No quality loss.

I only added the ones that are updated frequently. Most of these you have to pay for.

If you want me to add one, post it here.

You left out DVDRebuilder and DVDRebuilder Pro, which in my opinion, produce the finest quality backups when compression is necessary to fit onto a single layer dvd. They do not have a built in decrypter, so you must use them in combination with something like the free decrypter in DVDFab or with AnyDVD.

DVDRebuilder is free to use. The Pro version costs a small amount.

I can't even see where to edit the poll, unless I can't.

I would add DVDRebuilder and DVD Shrink since people still use those.

  5. I still use DVD Decrypter most of the time and rip in IFO mode, main movie only.

The first line makes no sense when looking at the poll then. Combining AnyDVD + CloneDVD for example. If you are backing up full dvds, why use CloneDVD with AnyDVD? You can rip the whole thing with the built in ripper within AnyDVD.

Also, it doesn't matter which one you use if you are making full backups. As long as the encryption/structural protection is properly removed there is no difference between the various programs on quality of output.

So, is this a poll on the effectiveness of the decryption? Or just gauging popularity?

I always choose the main movie option, and all of those have that option. It's still DVD to DVD with no compression, nor quality loss. You are saving at least 1 or more Gigs per copy. Those gigs add up in the end.

Some people like using the free version of DVDFab for bit-to-bit full copies. But it's really just a waste of space.

CloneDVD lets you preserve the menu, which is a plus.

Yep, usually menu's are just a waste.

And anything that lets you rip the entire disc lets you keep the menu's so i don't see why CloneDVD is singled out

If you're doing a full disc copy then just rip it with whatever works and then i use Imgburn.
& to remove FBI warnings, previews & other garbage VobBlanker or DvdRemakePro.
