I just recently bought a DVD burner and I tried ripping a DVD to DVD-R as per the guide on this great site. However, when I finished ripping, I had an .m2v file that was 3.99 gigs and I noticed the DVD was something like 7.5 gigs or so. Now, in the guide it says to set the max file size to 9000mbs. Well, I'm running Win ME and isn't the maximum system file size 3.99 gigs? I'm not particulary smart when it comes to computers (hell, I'm not particulary smart when it comes to LOTS of things!), but won't I have problems setting the max file size to 9 gigs? Should I leave it at 4 gigs, or what should I do? I didn't bother running the file through ReMpg since I figured it was wrong and I didn't want to waste 20+ hours for nothing.
Another question about ReMpg is that when I calculate the bit rate, say I come up with a number like 4521 or so. There's no way I can set that precise bitrate, is there? It seems like I just move the slider until I get something close to what I want, yes?
Any help would be incredibly appreciated!
Cheers!
