  1. If a video is 720x480x32, what does the 32 refer to?

  4. 32 is the bit depth

    RGBA , 8 for each channel (red, green , blue, alpha)

  7. there is no alpha channel in a convential digital still camera , the jpg images would be RGB24 (8,8,8)


    alpha channel is used for transparency. All NLE's work in RGBA to allow for compositing
