  1. I just bought a Visual Land V-Tap 972 for my grandson, and he likes to watch Yo gaba gaba, (from t.v.: I have made dvds of the episodes) and he likes Alvin and the chipmunks dvd, Michael Jackson and other kiddie stuff. What is the best way to load this stuff on to his media player. My daughter let him use her ipod and she downloaded a show from there but the instructions for this media player state that you cannot download the apple stuff directly. It says is supports: RM/RMVB files up to 720x480 res. Rm video supports 900-450kbps rates. Flash video, AVI files up to 800x480 res. Video codes: RM, RMVB,AVI, DIVX, XVID, FLV, DAT, ASF, MP4, WMV, 3GP,MPG,SWF.
Video Support specifications are: Real Media (RM, RMVB, RV): 640X480/25fps/600kbps or less. Flash Video(FLV): 640x480/30fps/2500 kbps or less. AVI/Divx: 640x480/30fps/16000kbps or less. Windows Media Video (WMV): 320x240/30fps/500kbps or less. MP4: 640x480/30fps/15000kbps or less. 3GP: 640x480/30fps/2500kbps or less.
It gets recognized on the computer as a usb drive and listed as a removable drive. It has 8 gb of onboard memory and can accept up to 8 gb on micro sd cards.
So what is the best and easiest way to download or copy video to be played on this media player?

Convert your dvds to avi divx/xvid with dvdfab or clonedvd mobile. They can both rip and convert easily.

Or if you want free software, rip the dvds with dvdfab decryper and then convert the ripped VIDEO_TS folder to avi divx/xvid with autogk, fairuse wizard or staxrip.
