HI I am using a laptop windows 7 and my problem is that when i download video from Firefox or IE using realplayer downloader and convert them, it doesn't convert the whole video. I used any program possible including Super video converter which i have on my desktop computer. This happened recently and i was able to convert videos fully in the past until this happened. For example when i download a video which was 16min long and after when i converted it the output video was 36 seconds. My desktop is running on vista and videos i download off there and converted comes out fine. Please help if anyone know what the problem might be.

    TIA

Try an alternate encoder - Xvid4PSP or MeGUI or Handbrake, for example - and see if the problem persists.

Have you confirmed that the videos downloaded correctly and completely ?

    I will try those.

Yes i know i downloaded the videos completely because i even played the video right after i downloaded them. Could it be something from my laptop that's not getting the programs to fully convert the videos?

I dont know if this will help but the videos iam converting are for my Sony ericsson phone 3gp

    What model phone ?
What type of video will it play ?
Different phones play different types of video. You want help, then help us help you.

Xvid4PSP outputs for a number of different phones. One of them may be compatible, however without knowing what you phone can play, no-one can tell you for sure.

if you have a video that does play, use mediainfo to work out what the settings are, and encode your videos to match.

if no converter works then either your files are screwed or your system is screwed or you are doing something very wrong
