  1. Hi. I have downloaded a video from YouTube and it's in FLV format. I plan to convert this to DVD so it can be played on TV/DVD player. I tried converting the file using Iwisoft Free Converter and choosing Mpeg2 format. It was able to be viewed on the DVD player however it doesn't have the sound. Is there something wrong with using Mpeg2 format?

I tried to use Windows DVD Maker and it worked, however this time the sound and the action is a bit mismatched. The sound comes just a bit later than the action. How do I solve this?

    Thanks in advance.

I recommend format factory. it works great with flv. I used it to create psp compatible mp4 files from flv. You can output mpeg2 as well (or directly to vob if you wish).

That's just what I thought too.
But some of the YouTube videos are available in higher resolution formats.
    There's information on Wikipedia here:-http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/YouTube#Quality_and_codecs

  6. Oh, I was hoping not to download anymore software converters. I thought it's the way I converted it that made it that way. Does a different software make a difference?

  7. From FLV To DVD ---> Just Forget It coz it is not worth.
Better suggestion is Look For Better Source.
I am in full agreement with hech54 "It will look like crap no matter what you use...."
    Wanna Know Why?

    Original DVD Specs:
    ------------------------
Video Bitrate : 8200 kbps or Higher
Audio Bitrate : 640 kbps 48 KHz 5.1 Dolby Suround Sound.

Now Run MediaInfo on the FLV files you have and,
figure out what is highest bit rate you get for audio and video. It will help to you to compare and figure-out how much quality is downgraded in FLV format.

Enjoy it on Youtube, share with friends, forget conversion to DVD, it can be converted, it will burn to disk, and it will look like crap.
