  1. Hi have a ps3 8 gb VOB file MPEG-4 AVC / Dolby Digital 5.1 448kbps.
i want to transform it to any size or number of discs to be make it play on my standalone dvd player without loosing the
    picture audio quality.
    is it possible?
    thank you

Try make an mkv from the vob using mkvmergegui and then use mkv2vob and use the splitting feature. Or maybe mkv2vob can open the vob directly and you can split and make a new one.

  3. well i visit this forum for many years now..
    i found many helpfull tools.
its the first time i needed to find something and i did not find it on your guides.
what i want to do is to create a dvd 4.7gb from a 720p.BluRay.x264.DTS.
i used mkv2vob thinking that maybe i can create ifo files.
but its mpeg-4 so i didnt find a way.
is there a way to change the mpeg 4 to 2 and keep all this perfect quality of sound and image to play to a simple dvd player?

then i was thinking to create a 8gb dvd and split it to 2 discs with dvdshrink 3 .
but i dont want to have 2 discs for each of my vids..(and i think that this will not help the quality)
so what i ask is if there is a way to create a DVDR form an Mkv,
and keep the colours quality and sound 5.1 to create a DVD a litle bit better than a DVDrip..
    thank you for your help

Mkv2vob doesn't create any dvd. It creates special vob for the ps3.

If you want a standard dvd use a dvd converter like convertxtodvd, dvdflick, avstodvd to convert the mkv to dvd. But you will of course lose the 720p video quality.

  5. i use convertxtodvd to convert them..
but either the video is blur or its framing..
so the result from converting them with vso is not the best for a dvd..
is there another way to get good quality by converting them?
