I'm looking for a video editing program to use to make video clips out of larger movie files such as anime. Up until now I've only used Virtual Dub, but it doesn't support a lot of the latest file types such as mkv and H.264.
I preferably want to make the video clips into standard avi so I can import them to photo shop and make animated gifs out of.
Any recommendations?
