Does anyone know how I can make sure the following setting stays on permanently, I keep having to manually select it every time because it switches to Aux whenever I start the ATi Multimedia Center
Windows XP > Sounds and Audio devices > Volume TAB > Advanced... button > Options > Properties > Recording > OK:

It turns out software when started can change that setting. In this case ATi Multimedia Center changes Windows audio input, but it can be adjusted:
ATi Multimedia Center > Setup > Display TAB > Initialization Wizard... > Change default Audio Input.
