I have a downloaded Flash video that I want to edit by saving just the last few minutes of it. I can play the whole video in both Media Player Classic and Windows Media Player, but when I open the video in AVIDemux to do the edit, it ends several minutes before the point where I want to start saving. GSpot doesn't show the usual info (just ID's it as "Flash Video Unknown Type", no codec listed, and no dimensions).

So... I tried doing a screen capture using CamStudio while playing the segment I want to keep with both MPC and WMP, but playback of the "captured" AVI, in both MPC and WMP, doesn't show the actual video portion (it's all black). The rest of the screen image shows the surrounding area of the players (the "skin"), and the audio plays, but no "video". Also, checking "Properties" while playing the captured AVI in MPC shows no video info, only the audio info. Any idea what's going on, and how can I save the last few minutes of this odd Flash video?

I tried "Pazera FLV to AVI" (which has worked great on other "problem" videos), but the resultant video ended at the same point as when opened in AVIDemux -- it's not the complete video.

    << BUMP >>

Anybody else have a suggestion to help me with this two-part problem?
    1. I can't convert/edit this file because the last 6 minutes are "missing" when opened in AVIDemux (to edit) and XMedia Recode or Pazera FLV to AVI (to convert), even though I can view the same 6 minutes in MPC and WMP.
    2. CamStudio screen capture program doesn't capture any part of the video while playing it in MPC or WMP (although the audio is captured) -- only the player skin/rest of the monitor screen is captured.
