Hello all. Nice forum here. Incredible amount of information!
I have kind of a newbe question. I am using Sony Vegas 8 software w/DVD architect 4.5.
While editing a movie in Vegas 8, is there a way to know what the final size file will be? I am looking to fill the DVD as full as possible.
Right now the way I have been doing it is going to "Make Movie" and then sending it to DVD Architect to determine the file size.
As you know, that takes a TON of time because the entire move must be rendered before it is sent to Architect.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks a bunch!

filesize = bitrate x running time
you can use a dvd bitrate calculator
e.g
https://www.videohelp.com/calc.htm
There are limitations to the DVD spec, eg. you can't exceed ~9Mb/s video bitrate
