I have read that almost all the Philips Home theatre systems (HTS) goes region free with the same procedure:
Turn on, press eject, press 9-9-9-9-0, turn off.
That is stated as a working hack also for HTS 6100 and lower and upper models (HTS 8100, etc), but there is no hack for HTS 6120 model in the lists.
I tried the method explained before, but nothing happened.
Does anyone knows a way to free region on this particular model HTS 6120. Today my device is still only Region 4 and 0. But can not playback American region 1 discs.
Thank you.

No harm in asking and perhaps someone will respond with a code that works, but you do need to understand that it's also possible that your player cannot be unlocked.
1) Some players can't be unlocked - ever.
2) Home theatre systems and combo players (ie. VCR/DVD, TV/DVD, etc.) have always been incredibly difficult to unlock with most not being able to be unlocked.
3) A few years ago it was almost impossible to find any player that Philips sold anywhere in the world that couldn't be unlocked, but even good old Philips has bowed to wishes of Hollywood and now makes some players that can't be unlocked.
4) Hardware differences between your model and the other ones you mentioned could be preventing the hack from working for you.
