Hi eveyone, new to this adding subs to movie lot.

I've got a blue ray avi movie 4.2gb. My problem is it has a seperate
.srt sub file for none enlish parts of movie. I have a home media
player which plays avi's that come with the .srt subs. But what do i have to
do with the .srt to get the subs to play in the movie.

A geeks guide would be great.

    Any help much appreciated.

Try just name the video and sub same like video.avi and video.srt and most players should read the subs.

But remember that not all media players supports so large files(over 2gb) and maybe not HD material.

    Hi Baldrick, Thanks for reply.

Ok i now have video.avi and video.srt. But now what, do i have to put these two files into one, or just drop both files
    onto my media player hdd.

    Thanks again for reply

P.S sorry if this seems a bit geekish but i did say i'm new with subs.

You have to keep both files in 1 folder.
Then all you have to do is to open the video file.
