  7. dude i am geting pissed of now i have the 2 codecs but it staying that my file (avi) is unsurported or can not open what can i do i tryed the other codecs i done every thing in the guide

    Problems:
If TMPGEnc gives you an error message when opening AVI, DivX,ASF,SMR,NAV be sure that you have installed the DivX Codec(both DivX 3.11 and 4 codecs) and also try with the Nimo Codec Pack. If that does not work try to use the old TMPGenc 12a. If that does not either work try to change the settings in TMPGEnc under Option->Environmental settings->VFAPI plug-in and right click on the DirectShow and increase the priority to 1 and try open the video.

and it will not load what other programs do u think will work and r easy to use

Hi Try first install the Nimo codec pack
    http://users.chartertn.net/bpearson/
If it does'nt open the avi after installed Nimo. You maybe got
a' broken avi file. Not a complete movie. Download DivXfix
( I think you find it here in Tools page). And run.

Or Try to open it in Virtual dub...and then Openfile information,
    checking type of codecs used....
    Good Luck

    Sorry..But I'm no expert...... I mostly makeVCD's. No
avi to CD's. Are you going to save the film on a' cd or..?
Then you could use AviChop....to cut the avi file.
Or just convert the avi (DivX) to Mpg.......Make a'vcd or svcd and
play it on a standalone Dvd player. Use VCD Cutter or TEMPGEnc
    to split Mpg file.

    Good Luck again
