I've built my HTPC and use Windows 7's Media Center as a PVR and watching videos. I've got a Music Video collection of 50 DVDs that I'm throwing on the hard drive and playing through WMC. I've noticed that when you bring the DVD folder up it can have a picture and a Synopsis.

I was wondering if it's possible to put a List of the Videos in the Synopsis window. I've done some searching but only found solutions for getting metadata for commerical released DVDs. My MV DVD Collection is essentially custom made. Anyone know where WMC looks for this Synopsis information and if it reads it off somewhere in the DVD folder or looks for it online?

  2. For DVD VIDEO_TS folders, you need place each in a folder of it's own along with a DVDXML file from http://dvdxml.com (free sign up).

For MP4, DVR-MS or any other file which has metadata, you need to change the "title" and "year" field so that they match exactly what is contained here: http://www.allmovie.com

The titles have to match exactly, for example "A Bug's life" would be correct, but "A Bugs Life" would probably not be recognised. (note the apostrophe)
