I am moving my DVD Authoring from Spruce Maestro to DVD Studio Pro.
The DVDs I create have 25 languages on them that need to be proofed by 25 different people all over the world. In the Spruce system I could just manually record the output with whatever video, audio and subtitle track that needed to be proofed in a WMV file format and then email the proof version before final burn.
Now in DVD Studio Pro and can not seem to get an analog output to do a manual record. I have purchased an additional video card for my Mac Pro that has S-Video and that does not work. I have the DVI to S-Video converter cable but I can not select that output when it is active. I have tried the export function but that only changes the m2v file into a mpg file, so that does not work.
Do you have any other suggestions - this is very important for my operation.
Thank you, Ron Cole

Simple as pie really.
Export the track with selected subtitle on to MPG.
Open the mpg file in MpegStreamclip, with the QT Mpeg-2 optional component installed,
export out (flatten) it as .mov.
Send to your people.
If you specifically need WMV, then you'll need to invest in WMV Studio from flip4mac,
that way MpegStreamclip will have the option to export out to Quicktime as WMV."Everyone has to learn, so that they can one day teach."

Hi Terry,
I tried what you suggested, but the mpg file was only video - no audio and no subtitles.
Have you tested it on your system? Did it work for you?
Thanks, Ron -
Hi Ron.
Yes i did and it does.
Did you turn your audio "on" in DVDSP before your export?
Do you have the Quicktime Mpeg-2 Component properly installed?
it is essential to demuxing the exported mpeg file from DVD Studio Pro
in MpegStreamclip so that it CAN make the needed Quicktime file.

If you have the component bought and installed, then:
Try again: File-->Export--Quicktime in MpegStreamclip.
when prompted, select for video Codec "Apple Motion jpg A"
select for audio codec "Uncompressed Stereo"
At bottom, click Make Movie.
that's it."Everyone has to learn, so that they can one day teach."
