Any links for troubleshooting? I'm 3 days into this, 16 hours or so.

WindowsMM and MPC got video, but no audio. Linux has not gotten vids or audio.

I got coax directly from VCR/DVD player into the card input.

    Help?

Smarter? Only thing I learned in the last 3 days was that Foxconn mis-labled the CMOS jumper pins on this new board, AND manual.

Ever try booting a machine with jumper pins in CLEAR CMOS???

OK finished 4 hours of 24.

What are your detailed hardware specs? Last I looked there were no 64 bit drivers for the PVR series. Still don't see any.

I saw that x64 wasn't supported; this might be why I got video with XP 32bit booted up (video in WMM, and MPC, with XPPro).

Surely there's open source support by now; I think I have only settings adjustment necessary, and I'm not knowing what to look for...

    Athlon II X3 440

Tuner card Haup PVR (500?/ has cx23416 chipset).

Are you using the Tuner or Video input
If it is the Video input did hook up the audio to the 500?.
Also keep that this is Hardware Encoder min apps do not work use WinTV 2000/6 or 7

    Don't know.

Do you mean, [VLC] Open / Open Capture Device / Video4Linux (or PVR) ? Yes, tried both, but I don't know if all settings for each were correct by default.

Not sure what you're asking here either... I have coax into video coax input on 500, direct from VCR/DVD (signal confirmed), but NO audio input connected to 500. Is audio not integrated with coax?

Min applications? You mean the native applications? So I need 3rd party apps? Such as?

Driver/firmware links are either outdated, or run me into a do-loop, or might be leading me to load older utilities, when I might have nothing more than a configuration error...

The PVR-500 can be used with MCE but this often makes it unavailalble for other apps. Follow driver installation instructions at Hauppauge support.

Otherwise, install WinTV 6 or 7 if it supports the card.

Some third party apps that support the PVR-500 include BeyondTV, SAGE TV, GBPVR (free), etc.
