  1. Hello! I'm having a bit of a problem here. I finally got my Divx AVI movie file converted into DVD ffmpeg format and ended up with the movie.DVD folder with the Video_TS and Audio_TS folders inside.

However, I previewed the movie in VLC and it had a terrible high-pitched screeching noise during the entire film. I thought it might have just been VLC's fault so I burned the DVD in Toast, popped it into my PS3 and the same thing happened. The video played perfectly but the audio was just the screeching noise. I could still hear the original audio from the film very lightly, but the screeching basically blocked it out.

I previewed the original AVI file in VLC and Quicktime and the video and audio were both perfect. It seems something went wrong in the conversion process.

    Thanks so much!

  2. wow, i figured it out. it had to be either one of the these 2 things that caused this:

#1: after converting the movie the first time around I noticed the progress bar had reached 100% so I burned it. however, later on I learned that the progress bar should read "finished", not "100%". i doubt this was the problem though.

#2 (i'm guessing this was the problem): the 2nd time around I switched the Audio Channels setting to Mono because I remembered that the movie I was attempting to burn was in Mono for some reason. I burned the DVD and the sound was perfect.
