Keep it in the format of the original files. In other words, if it was recorder 4:3 (full screen), then keep it 4:3.

I dont know what the original format is but there is an option to change it to 16:9 widescreen on the camara itself, i have rendered then converted to dvd but im getting a black bar down each side of my LCD tv and in power dvd on pc, this is what i want rid of.
So im guessing i have to render at some sort of setting in order to lose the black bars but i dont know which setting, these are half hour vids/movie im trying to make from holidays, i did try saving the files as NTSC widescreen but that turned out to be huge.... 65 gig !!
I need to know ( using sony vegas pro 9 ) which settings to use to get a good quality vid at full screen.
