    Hi, I want to bulk convert some Videos from AVI / MPEG to FLV format. I am looking for some good default values to use for this. So far I have:

    -deinterlace -ar 44100 -r 25 -qmin 3 -qmax 6

    is that ok or can anyone recommend something better ? Thanks.

    I would convert to h264 video (-vcodec libx264) in a flv or mp4. See for example http://flowplayer.org/forum/7/12671 .

    That post you linked is quite interesting for higher resolution videos, thanks. The majority of videos i want to convert are of lower quality though ( for example 480x272 mpgv with Stereo Audio at 44100Hz and 224 kb/s ), so I am looking for good settings to do a fast conversion with best possible quality ( not losing any quality ).
