    since win2k doesnt have a "restart windows in dos mode" option, how can i restart win2k with a command prompt? i really need to format my HD soon so please respond, thanks.

    Is there not an option on bootup to "press F8 for advanced startup options" or something to that effect? Right when the text-based progress bar appears and starts to scroll across the screen. Try holding F8 down while booting.
