    First off I want to say this site is the best. You all have helped me alot for me being the new guy. hopefully you can help me with this one.

    I have a bunch of tv shows series on DVD. I want to put all the episodes on my server. I really don't want to download them if I own the DVD. Is there a way to extract each episode from a DVD? Some DVDs have 4-5 episodes. If so please let me know what i need to do. I will keep the DVD quality if possible.

    1. Rip to hard drive.
    2. Open with handbrake and convert to mp4.

    Alternately:
    2. Open with tmpegenc, select episodes, save to hard drive, change extension to .mpg

    I tried hand brake and it really doesn't display the episodes clearly. You can really see only one but not all.

    Try DVDdecrypter to iso then open with fairusewizard (free version). You can then use fairusewizard to convert to xvid.
