  1. I need to add more RAM memory to the following MOBO:
    http://us.msi.com/index.php?func=proddesc&maincat_no=1&cat2_no=&cat3_no=&prod_no=180

I'm confused with all the different memory parameters (DDR number, Mhz, PC number, voltage, pins, etc). Currently it has 512MB of DDR memory installed. There's one remaining memory slot to add another card. Can I add a 1Gb memory card for a total of 1.5Gb RAM or just another 512MB card for a total of 1Gb? And what type of memory should I add? Thanks

The specs of the currently installed RAM are below:
Physical Memory 512 MB DDR-SDRAM General Information A0 : Empty A1 : Empty Information SPD EEPROM (A0) Manufacturer : Infineon Part Number : AED660UD00-500C88X Serial Number : E61B2812 Type : DDR-SDRAM PC-3200 (200 MHz) - [DDR-400] Size : 512 MB (2 rows, 4 banks) Module Buffered : No Module Registered : No Module SLi Ready (EPP) : No Width : 64-bit Error Correction Capability : No Max. 2. According to their website your mobo supports:

    • Supports four memory banks using two 184-pin DDR DIMM.
    • Supports up to 2GB DDR333/400 SDRAM.
    • Supports 2.5v DDR SDRAM.

It's not wise to mix different size memory on dual channel chipsets, I would buy a dual channel set(2 x 1GB).
Use CPU-Z to see what FSB speed you have then get the same memory speed(ie 333 or 400). Go to http://www.crucial.com/ and see what their advisor says.

Just note the Crucial advisor can be wrong, it's not 100% accurate.
