Hi. I've been trying to convert some parts of a .VOB file into .mpg files. (They're really small parts, like 1 second or 2 seconds.) But the files I create don't play properly in Windows Media Player 6.4 (- at the end of the file, I get a "Catastrophic Failure" pop-up -) or in Media Player Classic Home Cinema (- it just freezes). Both of these programs were set to play the respective file again from the beginning, forever. The strange thing is that Windows Media Player 11 plays the file repeatedly just fine. But I don't like the WMP11 interface, so... I know I didn't mention the program I used to create these files, but I don't think it matters because I get the errors no matter which program I use to render the files (NeroVision, TMPGEnc Xpress, Vegas, you name it...) Is it because I installed the K-Lite Codec Pack? (I never had this problem with my previous XP installation, when I didn't have K-Lite, and I was always using TMPGEnc XPress to render MPEG files. This installation is XP, too, by the way.) Thank you. EDIT: After troubleshooting for the last 5 hours, or so, I have to say that it's not just the files I create that don't work properly. It's every MPEG file. So, to put it simply, I cannot get any .mpg or .mpeg file to play more than one time consecutively, in either WMP6.4 or Media Player Classic. Both players freeze when the file reaches the end. And I don't know why. Please help!
