I've read somewhere that you can simply copy the program folder to something like a USB stick and run SuperAntiSpyware from there. I'm assuming you can then take this USB stick to another computer and run it (with the most recent updates included of course)....in case the malware/spyware has disabled either the internet connection or hijacked the browers so they cannot search fixes or software like SuperAntiSpyware?
And even though the (my) SuperAntiSpyware program folder is 28MB....you could possibly "send" it to someone who's computer is infected.
Does this sound feasible?
Both of my computers have SuperAntiSpyware installed so I'm not sure if I can thoroughly test this theory.

Ok just for fun I copied the SAS folder from Program Files to my keydrive and it works on XP, one caveat is you have to register it once online.
The good news is it retains the malware database on your CD/keydrive while the portable scanner doesn't. Just click on SUPERANTISPYWARE.EXE to run, you can even rename the .exe file if you want.

The portable one obviously can only have the database from the time you downloaded it. I'm sure we all agree on that one.
Even I understand that one...
