I'm looking for a program that is sort of like G-spot but for picture files.

I'm hoping there is something you install and then just right-click on a .jpg or .tiff to open in this program to get detailed properties of the image file. Maybe the entire meta info, bit depth, number of pixels, and stuff like that.

Does anyone know of a program that is sort of like G-spot for this purpose? Something easy and free would be best of course.

    Thanks!

You could try the freeware MediaInfo Lite: http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/MediaInfo-Lite/1183386892/1 It gives very basic info and you can add it to Explorer context menus so you can just R click on the photo. There are other programs that read EXIF data, but only from digital camera photos.

  3. From Explorer: right click on file, select Properties. Go to the Summary tab, pressed Advanced button.

For a freebie, have a look at Microsoft Pro Photo Tools 2 http://www.microsoft.com/prophoto/downloads/tools.aspx , you can right click an image in Explorer to launch the app.
