I am trying to record using the "right to disk" feature of Power Producer, but I have no sound. I can hear the video in other programs ie>LPRipper plays the sound for the video. All my settings seem to be right. I need help. Please. This should not be this difficult! Thank you in advance!

I am trying to record from VHS to DVD using an EasyCap cord and the Power Producer software. The video quality is spectacular, but silent. I have used the VHS2DVD software and was able to record both sound and video, but the quality was not very good and it took like 15 hours to recapture and burn. When I was using that program there was an issue with the video not working(but the sound was there), and there was a sync-ing tool in the help menu to fix that problem. I am not finding that with this program. Is there some sort of sync tool with power producer?

check the audio settings in power producer and make sure it's capturing to a DVD compliant type. dolby digital ac-3 would be best, but the other ok choice is pcm wav. it shouldn't need re-syncing. it would be best to record to a file and then produce a dvd, not try to record to dvd directly.

The only choices I can find are MPEG or LPCM. Am I looking in the wrong spot?

i don't have power producer to check, only powerdirecter. if it can't do ac-3 then you have to use lpcm, as mpeg audio is not a legal stream on a dvd in the u.s. by itself and may not play in standalones.

Or turn it into "DTS", which it's legal, playable, and "exciting" format.
You can find help here ,by any member!

I was able to open another software and get the sound to play while the dvd was recording, but it only played through the computer but did not record on the dvd.
