  1. I've tried searching this out a bunch online over the last few weeks, and never found the answer.

I have a ATI Theater 650 Pro combo with digital and analog inputs. I can use Beyond TV to capture digital TV, but whenever I go to Skype or any webcam program, I can't switch to my digital input.

Also, I've just wanted to switch from my live webcam to show a MP4 file and stream that. There are a few programs that I've download that claim to be able to do that, but none of them seem to work properly.

In both cases, I only seem to be able to get ATI AVStream Analog capture.

Can ANYONE help? I tend to be quite computer literate, but I just can't seem to figure out this problem. If Beyond TV can do it, why can't anything else!?

    Thanks in advance!

Years ago, I used a program called VirtualCamera from http://www.soundmorning.com

It worked well with most software. You installed it, pointed your software it its driver and then told VC what to show; camera, input source, video file, etc...

Haven't needed it in ages so I don't know what features it supports now.

Oh wait.. never mind.. I see from the forum that there's been no releases for ages and people are complaining that they aren't getting their license codes.

There is a freebie called ManyCam that can take a variety of inputs and simulate being a webcam, or it can be used to superimpose watermarks on live feeds. It will do some of what you want at least. You can find it here.

Note : I am in no way affiliated with manycam, it creators or distributors. It is just a product that I have used in the past that fits the OPs request.
