    Hello,

I was wondering if anyone here might have a working email address for Diego Massanti, the developer of MediaInfo Mac 0.7.17.6. I tried to send him a feature request at webmaster@massanti.com but it bounced back to me.

    Thanks!

Diego is a registered user on this site, although his profile says last activity is 2008.

Thanks folks! I just discovered that Diego has a blog called "Diego's Rants" at http://blog.massanti.com/

He appears to be more active there. His last entry was in December of 2009. I joined his blog and left him a comment.

For those of you who are interested, according to some of his blog entries, Diego has been working on a new version of MediaInfo Mac which, among other things, will allow the user to display more than one media info window at a time. This will be great as we will be able to compare the data between two or more video files side by side.

Diego says on his blog that there will be a free version -- which will have the same features as 0.7.17.6, plus the multiple windows feature -- and a commercial version which will provide even more details for those who need it.

BTW, in one of his entries he offers diego at massanti dot com as his communication channel. I wrote to him, and haven't received an error back from his mail server, so maybe it is still a good addy.

Oh, also, I think the Sourceforge URL above is for the OTHER version of MediaInfo. I looked at that version a few months ago, but like Diego's version better. His has a cleaner, more organized interface, in my view.

The windows version of MediaInfo can already allow the user to display more than one media info window at a time.

not other but the official one (the one by the author of mediainfo codes)

    Right
Mediainfo interface is not really cool, Diego's one is more mac and ergonomic BUT tyhe original version provides good informations and the mac one does not reach to display the good one (eg: compares the delay values displayed by each soft: the command line and the official GUI give the good values, not the mac GUI )
so yes, the mac version is nicer…

    bye
