  1. Hello folks,
Am a newbie who posted one other time and appreciate the help. I have a kids music video Im trying to put online as an flv file. My original file is an mpeg with the audio being a wav file. I used an flv converter called ANY Flv, and it converts the audio to mp3. But it seems like the audio ends up sounding like its underwater(good newbie term?) or something. Here's an example if anyone would care to check it.

The audio sounds fine on the mpeg...any thoughts on what Im doing wrong are greatly appreciated. Thanks very much.

You might need to increase the audio bitrate in your conversion settings. Video looks good. I don't think the audio sounds that bad, quite honestly.

    Increase to 128. Might help.

Still, your Abby.flv file has the audio at 80Kbs which shouldn't sound terrible. Somewhere along the way the audio signal is becoming overloaded (clipping).

If you'd be willing to upload the original MPEG audio somewhere I'd be happy to look. I still think it sounds decent, though.

  3. hey soopafresh,
Much thanks to you for taking the time to help me out. I really appreciate it. I did increase the bitrate and it dit help. Thanks for yer kind offer to look at the mpeg file. You know, when I created the wave file, I NORMALIZED it, which I think wasnt a great idea, since it put the audio right on the edge...and I'm guessing thats how I created the clipping sound. I'm going to go back and try reducing the volume and see if that helps. Let me know if there are any upcoming birthdays for little kids you know and I'll be happy to post them a vid singing their name on my site! take care,
