I'm using KMPlayer + CoreAVC to watch mkv files. From what i've noticed there are some a/v and subtitle desync which appear once in a while on high bitrate movies.Sometimes the subtitle gets desync without getting a/v desync(skipped subtitle lines).I have to mention that i have an AMD Athlon 2200+, 1,8GHz 768RAM, 128mb ATI Radeon 9200 graphic card.
Is there any way to improve at least subtitle processing?(i'm using overlay mixer...anithing else slows down dramatically the playback).

Computer specs are probably too old, so you can't playback realtime
Divx h.264 decoder will get you a few more FPS than ffmpeg-mt decoder that KMplayer is using, it might be just enough enough for your PC to watch.
How do you know it's not a problem with the .mkv's? Maybe they are desynced to begin with? Have you tried on another computer? -
I don't think it's a problem with the mkvs...
I'm using AVC decoder for mkv..so is divx h264 still working?
