I received a notification of an update that I probably don't need because I use FF but I would like to have it anyways since it's a recommended update. I go to download and it just sits there not doing anything, any ideas? I've tried it a few times now.

    Recent installs:
    No Script for FF
    SpywareBlaster (may be this?)

    thanks for any help

  4. You have to have ActiveX enabled in order to use Windows Update, you can also go here to download manually:

Ok, thanks for the reply. I'll be sure to uncheck that box whenever I have an update

  6. I have the same setting with no issues. That only prevents Spyware and other malicious software from being installed via ActiveX. I've never seen it cause issues with legit ActiveX controls.

I'll keep the settings active during my next update to be sure it wasn't just the Microsoft Update site taking forever.

I tried it about 5 times and waited close to 10 min for each (just left the computer and came back). Could have been my internet connection at the time too I suppose. I'm not saying it was the program preventing it, just a possibility since I just downloaded the program a day ago. Great program though
