I am trying to do some night infra red work with a Sony DCR-TRV33E to monitor animal behaviors at night. I want to know if I can either reprogram the camera to make a video at a very slow frame rate , say 5 frames a minute, or take a photo to the memory stick at the same rate. Is this possible? Can I reprogram the camera??
I am really struggling to get this work done so if enay one has any ideas they would be greatly appreciated,
Regards
Craig

Wrong forum. This is only for Latest Video News. Moving you.
And, goodnature, in the future please use a more descriptive title so others can find your posts. I will change yours this time.

Unless your cam already has a timelapse feature, it would be very unlikely. For the memory stick, you can do it via LANC but need specific electronics to do so.
Depending on the logistics, you might consider connecting your cam to a laptop via FireWire and use capture software that can do timelapse (see signature) - make sure there's no tape in the cam though otherwise it will switch off after a short while. I did something similar with the cam on a tripod outside (a clear night, no rain forecast!), a long FireWire cable and a laptop on the front porch.John Miller
