I think,therefore i am a hamster.

Ashamed to admit I'm mostly a couch potato.
I do ride a bicycle and walk for exercise most days, but no organized sports.

Trapshooting.
[EDIT] No, not skeet, different game. Skeet is for sissies. And no, it's not live pigeon shooting (like columbaire), just a simulation thereof with clay targets.Last edited by fritzi93; 28th Mar 2010 at 20:09.

Does chasing after my 4 and 8 year old count as a sport?

I've always been active and involved in sports and exercise. At 68 years of age I've worn 32"waist pants for 50 years now.
I watch my weight and I exercise everyday.
About half of my movie watching is from an exercycle, a treadmill or my gym.
I've heard it said that the amount of time you spend exercising is about equal to the extra time you have added to your life from the exercise. So, in a way, all that movie time is just free time.

Not this year, no.

Used to play tennis in 20's and later played soccer with the Brit engineers in 30's.
Since then it has been down to skiing, hiking and "indoor sports". Do those count?Recommends: Kiva.org - Loans that change lives.

I still golf and bowl(if you can call that a sport), in my younger years I played more sports.

Play (and ref) hockey year round. Golf as weather permits which for me is mid-April to mid-October so it fits well around hockey season.
Have a good one,

The mention of golf made me laugh. Many trapshooters are pissed-off former golfers whose clubs ended up in the water or in a treetop.
At least with Trap one can have his revenge on the next target, assuming you can hit it.
But yeah, of course golf and bowling are sports. If all one does is watch TV "sports", however, that's too bad.Pull! Bang! Darn! -
How about dancing?
Viennese Waltz tempo is 180 beats/minute (three steps/second) and they can last for up to seven minutes. Fortunatelly the tempo usually slows down several times during the longer dances. Polkas are also pretty energetic.
Not only good physical exercise, lead and follow require an active mind.Andrew Jackson: "It's a poor mind that can only think of one way to spell a word." -
Softball and basketball are missing from the list... So is racing/autocross.

Walk 3- 5 miles each day...of course it with the dog(who seems to not care what the weather is like out)

I love my golf. I must say I'm surprised to see the number of golfers in the poll.

Wow...I'm stunned and saddened by the overwhelming percentage of couch potatoes. Life's too short to be spending most waking hours in front of a TV or computer screen. Balance is the key. Get out there and have some REAL (not simulated) fun!
Also, certain types of fishing (marlin, etc.) can be considered a sport.
