  1. H folks --

    Sorry for the beginner question, but I've authored quite a few DVDs from an avi file with menus using TMPG, but it occurs to me that in some cases it would be better if the user could just put the DVD in their player and have the video just begin, with no menuing whatsoever.

    I've never done this before -- is it possible? Can someone point me to a walk-through? I did a little Google searching but it was hard to sift this particular need from all the DVD-related menu discussions.

    whatever you use for dvd authoring should be able to set it to play the movie first. check the help files for first play or movie only.

  3. Yeah, if you author without menus then the movie starts automatically. Encode DVD compliant video and audio, load both into Muxman, author. That's it.

  4. I use free software DVDFlick to convert avi to DVD . Default setting is no menu. Insert disk and movie starts playing. No buttons on your remote control to fiddle with.
