Hello
I have some Japanese videos (AVI,WMV) that i want to add English subtitles to. I dont know Japanese and just want to have subtitles added for me, is this possible?

Do you already have the subtitles? With formats like Xvid/Divx, just put the subs (.srt format) in the same folder as the movie, named the same and your player should find them. If you need the subs, there are subtitle sites where the more popular subs are available, usually in .srt format. If you read the 'stickies' at the top of this forum, you should get more info on adding subs.

There is a lot of interest in doing English subtitles for Japanese videos of various types, so there is a better chance that you can find subtitles than if you had a video in, say, Russian. But it depends on what exactly these videos are. Some people out of the goodness of their hearts and for no money at all provide English subtitles for anime, films and TV shows, but you'll just have to search on the Internet to see if such subtitles are available or not for your videos. If they are not, then you are out of luck because there is no magic program that can create them out of nothing for you.
