Is there presently such thing as a Blu-ray work for sale that uses 1920x1080 60p? Or a Blu-ray player that would play such a disc? Are we talking 2010? 2012? Or maybe never?

Does the TM700 support any real 60p playback, except un raw, edited form using the camera itself or an i7 PC? If one connects the TM700 to a Viera HDTV's HDMI port, and hits "play," does one see 60p or 60i?

Sony Vegas Pro allows 1280x720 60p. How robust with 1920x1080p? Unless Sony introduces a competitor of the TM700 with 1920x1080 60p, I doubt Vegas Movie Studio 10 would support it.

    1920x1080 60p is not Blu-Ray compliant.

    My bet is 60i.

1920x1080 60p is pushing current CPU tech too far unless a digital intermediate is developed.

You can do it with older codecs (e.g. MPEG-2) on some systems. Certainly not MPEG-4 AVC (H.264) yet.

Depends on the encoding parameters though - they can have a huge effect on processor / hardware usage. For MPEG-4 ASP and AVC (e.g. XviD and x264) you can create or remove huge decoder load by using different encoding parameters.

    Cheers,
    David.

It takes video at 1920x1080 60P, it apparently does not have a 24P mode. Will this 60P burn to Blu ray alright and be able to be played in a Playstation 3?
    Thanks
I'm thinking of picking up this same camera to play with also. ....It's pretty impressive from some of the reviews I've read. It sells for around $730 several places and people seem to be able to edit without super fast computers. Take a look at the reviews at B&H

I may grab one .....I live dangerously.

Will Mpeg Streamclip convert 60p for use in FCP?
