  1. I have always loved & appreciated this lil app - makes burning projects to DVD so darn easy & simple.
I finally made the switch to Win7, and installed it, but it won't show in the right click context menu.
Has anyone gotten it working in Win7 64bit?

    Cheers

  5. Thanks very kindly. I've been amazed at how many of my old fave 32bit apps can still work on it (Burrrn and BurnAtOnce come to mind), but the shell ext didn't make it.

    Cheers!

Well yes and no..... i have it working now in window 7 but not yet in 64bit windows 7.... There are a few more issues than just recompiling it. I hope to nail it over the weekend.

  10. Here's a freebie I wrote that can sometimes work around that issue:

    http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/System-Tweak/Half-Shell.shtml

It sits in the tray. You select a folder in Explorer. Then hit Shift-Enter hotkey. The folder selected should now be open in a 32 bit shell and most 32 bit shell extensions should work. If you look at my comments on the download site, there seems to be some instances where the explorer in the SysWow64 folder hard links to a 64 bit explorer instead of 32 bit. If this is the case on your machine, it won't work. Don't ask me why MS does this. It's their own work-around I'm using from the KB article. But, go figure.

Try it. It may work for you. btw I've been using that Imgburn shell extension forever!! I love it!! I can use it with my Half Shell work-around on Vista64 is all I can tell you.

  12. The 64 bit version shows this error in the install log
Error: Unable to locate application file 'ImgBurnDVDVideoSetup.msi'.

The filename doesn't have the '64' part in the name.

I renamed the .msi file removing the '64' part and it installs and shows in the context menu.

edit: also did a test burn. Went ok.

  14. I just downloaded again, did the install again, got the same error again. Taking the '64' out of the .msi filename allows it to install. I'm on Vista64. Don't know why that would matter.

Ok. I have updated the x64 zip to now contain ImgBurnDVDVideoSetup.msi rather than ImgBurnDVDVideoSetup64.msi - hopefully that will resolve that error. Thanks for trying these out chaps.

Hi, this shell extension is exactly what I was looking for! Read the thread.. but that leaves one big question for me... Where can I download your updated version?
EDIT: Just found it!! on svcd2dvd.com. Thanks anyway

  17. Sorry, but I can't find it. A search of "ImgBurnDVDVideoSetup.msi" in Google returns only 2 results. The provided link of svcd2dvd doesn't seem right. Where is it?

  19. Great. Is there a way to select destiny drive (or drives) before burning?

  20. yes, when you right click on the file you want IMGBurn to process, the program opens up. If you have a disc in the drive you set as default in IMGBurn, it starts.
