  1. I've been using Videora and avidemux for a while now but setting up multiple files in a folder is a big pain and I was wondering if there are any freeware converters that let you grab all the files in a folder and batch convert them. Thanks.

    Try ipodme.

  3. Tried the ipodme with some avis and it worked great, thanks. Now I'm looking for something that will work with mkvs and the subtitles they contain. I'm currently extracting the subs and then using avidemux's video filters to include the subs in the converted file. I'm guessing nobody has created a batch converter for that yet, correct? Thanks again for the previous tip.

Try Handbrake. Not sure about the subs but do a "Preview" and see if the subs appear.
