Here is the problem:

I had installed MainConcept's demo codec and was able to get CCE 2.5 standalone, VirtualDub and LSX-MPEG 3.5 standalone enocders to work fine. The only problem is the AVIs I was capturing had a large degree of pixelization and were no where near *lossless*. LSX-MPEG said the AVI was at a 9:1 compression prior to encoding. This resulted in poor SVCD videos. I uninstalled the MainConcept codec and my AVIs look much better. Now I cant get CCE 2.5 standalone, VirtualDub and LSX-MPEG 3.5 standalone to work again. I get "Can't locate decompressor for'dvsd'"..."Direct Show codecs are not suitable" error messages, when running Vdub. I get similar error messages for CCE and LSX-MPG. There must be away around this problem. Anyone have a clue???

Thank to all that reply,
