    Hello all,

I am editing on a powerbook G4 running FCP 5.0.4. I have HD 720p footage from the harddrive a JVC GY HD200 that i need to edit. I know my versionof final cut can't hand the hd footage, but ihvave used programs like VoltaicHD and Mpeg Streamclip in the past to convert avchd files to types i can work with. But those aren't working here.

I just keep getting audio with either just white blank video, a black blank video, or no video at all. The files say they are .mov but i can't find anything that will play or convert them HELP PLEASE!!!

it's an HDV cam. recorded in 720 60p. you probably need to convert to apple pro res 4:2:2 if fcp5 can use it.

Yeah basically i'm looking for a program that will convert it. Mpeg streamclip and VoltaicHD both are coming up with files that have audio but the video is just a blank black or white screen.

anyone know any other programs that may work on my powerbook g4?
